Abstract

Even in 2022, women still face challenges regarding power, status and burn-out. In this break-out session, Malena Putnam will go over six of the challenges women face in leadership roles today and share tips from women leaders on how to be our own best advocate, how to champion other women, and how to deal with and overcome challenges.

Malena Putnam grows brands and community with strategy, storytelling and social events. She owns two companies; Yay Dude, a media and marketing company focused on celebrating community and promoting small business and local events; and Chicks in Charge, a social networking and leadership club for women business owners and managers. She has branded more than 200 companies and products over the years and hosts five events per year to promote female friendships and supporting women-owned businesses. She is the co-founder of SHE Leads, a women’s leadership conference encouraging women to lead a life they love.
