Digital Marketing in the wake of Cambridge Analytica
In the wake of the Facebook/Cambridge Analytica fake news scandal, the topics of personal data collection and targeted advertising are a touchy subject. As marketers, the ability to target relevant audiences is a useful and cost effective tactic, however the digital landscape is changing. In this breakout, we’ll discuss the topic of data collection, and how Facebook and other digital platforms are changing in response to the Cambridge Analytica scandal, fear of fake news, data breaches, and GDPR.
Daniel is a lover of coffee, beards and anything competitive. He is an avid fan of both the University of Oklahoma (Boomer!) and the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is also not a Golden State Warriors fan. Daniel lives in Norman, OK with his lovely wife and a spoiled dog, and one day dreams of owning a café racer. He is the current Director of Marketing at Rose State College and a former Account Strategy Manager with Bigwing (formerly Bigwing Interactive). Daniel begin his marketing career as an in-house marketing manager at a local car dealership, and since then has helped companies nationwide with various branding and marketing campaigns.
